Overview

Ready to shape the future?

At Nortal, we believe in thinking big – creating solutions that have a meaningful, far-reaching impact, whether through digitizing governments, improved healthcare, convenient telecom services, or creating a competitive edge and agility for large businesses. We’re transforming the way people pay taxes, manage health, and connect with public services, and we’re just getting started.

Now we’re looking for a Technical Product Owner to help us move faster, aim higher, and go further. If you thrive at the intersection of business, tech, and people, and want your work to have real impact, let’s talk.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the problem: Lead stakeholder interviews, analyse current processes, and uncover real user needs in financial systems.
  • Design solutions: Translate insights into clear, feasible product concepts that balance client expectations with real-world constraints.
  • Get technical: Build and maintain artefacts like As-Is/To-Be flows, UML diagrams, data-flow models, and specs that guide developers and QA.
  • Drive delivery: Own and prioritize the backlog, track progress, and keep cross-functional teams aligned and focused.
  • Collaborate closely: Work daily with developers, designers, and testers to iterate fast and ensure requirements are understood and implemented.
  • Support and scale: Be the go-to person for change requests, clarifications, and measuring success against business goals.
  • Contribute to growth: Spot opportunities for improvement, support proposal work, and share insights to level up the team.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or System Analyst for at least 5 years.
  • Strong background in financial system analysis and hands-on use of UML, process modelling, prototyping, and writing clear functional/technical specs.
  • A good balance of big-picture product vision and attention to detail in analysis and documentation.
  • Skilled at managing goals, timelines, and expectations in complex environments.
  • A collaborative communicator who enjoys solving problems with users and teams.
  • Fluency in Estonian and English.

Why Nortal?

  • We hire for passion and potential, not just your resume. Our core values—deliver results, take ownership, empower others, and grow continuously—shape everything we do. We believe that work should be meaningful, flexible, and fun.
  • We care about your growth & development. In Nortal, we support constant improvement and knowledge sharing.
  • We offer 2-5 extra vacation days per calendar year based on your tenure at Nortal.
  • We prioritize your health & well-being by providing a flexible package for health insurance, sports, or massage services.
  • We support your work-life balance and provide flexible working hours.
  • It's your choice whether you want to work from the office or remotely. In Estonia, we have offices in Tallinn and Tartu, with our Work From Anywhere program, you have the freedom to work where you work best. We have also launched the Nortal Nomad program for people wanting to move short-term to some other country.
