Value Architect - aligning business and technology

If your answer is yes, then we are looking for you, Value Architect to join our growing team of value delivering experts in Finland.

As a Value Architect, you know how to position us with the customers and create a plan towards a long-term collaboration by delivering concrete and continuous value. You will determine which investments will yield the best value, for example in terms of hard costs, productivity benefits or new business capabilities for our customers. Your responsibilities include architectural design and pre-sales work, and you will contribute to our growth in both the short and long term and engage different capabilities to build seamless, cross-functional teams. We offer you a chance to further develop your skills in challenging projects, in close collaboration with our customers, business and delivery teams.

Your strategic responsibilities: 

• Industry trends – be familiar with emerging themes and understand priorities and drivers in for example GovTech, Digital Public Infrastructure, Personal Government, Government Resilience, Digital Economy, and/or Public Healthcare. 
• Value proposition design – work with local leadership and sales teams, as well as capability teams to develop a proposition that generates value for customers and demand for Nortal services. 

Your operational responsibilities: 

• Sales – Proactively identify, shape and lead sales opportunities including hands-on proposal work, concepts, technical design and work effort estimation. Participate and support other teams in their strategic or complex opportunities with your special skills. Convince customers that we are the best company to support their objectives and deliver up to their expectations.  
• Architecture design - Designing and documenting the enterprise or overall system architecture for large entities, including multiple software applications and their interoperability. Select the right tools and systems to meet business requirements. 
• Value delivery – Ensure our capability to deliver to enable our customers to ramp up new business capabilities and provide value to their clients. Bring operational efficiency to customers through better use of information, data and new technological capabilities. Identify and streamline customer’s business processes for improved efficiency.  
• Coaching & mentoring – Share your knowledge and expertise within your peers and colleagues 

We would be excited if you have several of the following: 

• Background in working for example as a Principal Consultant, Enterprise Architect or other similar senior position between business and technology 
• Hands-on experience of solution architectures and the modern ecosystems of different technological platforms and services, such as Microsoft Azure. Understanding software development lifecycle with a background in hands-on programming is a benefit. 
• 10+ years of experience in for example GovTech, Digital Public Infrastructure, Personal Government, Government Resilience, Digital Economy, and/or Public Healthcare, with a mix of ‘customer side’ and ‘consulting side’ experience 
• Track record in growing business, building concrete value propositions, and delivering customer commitments on time, within budget and with a concrete customer value.  
• Strong ability to understand customer businesses and bottlenecks, and model and streamline customer business processes 
• Experience in working within sales and business development 
• Effective communication skills in writing, verbally, and through presentations both in Finnish and English
