Overview

At Nortal, we believe in thinking big—creating digital solutions with meaningful, far-reaching impact. With over 2,000 professionals across 26 locations, we’ve spent over two decades helping governments, enterprises, and healthcare institutions in Europe, North America and the Middle East build secure digital organizations, businesses and entire societies.

In the UK, we are proud to empower government and defence organisations to transform their operations, services and digital infrastructure, delivering human-centric, resilient, and secure solutions.

We provide top-tier cybersecurity services that enable organizations to operate with confidence — securing supply chains, ensuring compliance, and fortifying critical systems. Our experts work in high-risk environments, including critical infrastructure, defence, and enterprise IT/OT landscapes, offering a comprehensive portfolio that spans security architecture, cyber resilience, compliance, and advanced R&D.

We’re now looking for a Security Architect Consultant, based in the UK, to join our growing team and help shape our digital future, ensuring security and resilience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical design of systems and services across multiple projects and technologies
  • Design and implement robust security solutions to protect organizational assets
  • Engage with a wide range of stakeholders to communicate project value and direction
  • Serve as a point of escalation for architects within the team
  • Provide expert recommendations on security architecture and design
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and vulnerability analyses
  • Define and maintain security standards, guidelines, and best practices
  • Collaborate closely with IT and business teams to embed security into system designs
  • Investigate cybersecurity incidents and events, recommending corrective or mitigating actions

Qualifications

  • Adapt to a wide range of delivery projects, ensuring security solutions are tailored to meet specific client needs
  • Demonstrate deep expertise in core security concepts and apply them at a technical level
  • Clearly communicate security and risk implications to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proficiency in securing network infrastructures, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and related technologies
  • Lead the development and evolution of security policies and processes that support business outcomes and architecture
  • Apply strong knowledge of system architectures and established cybersecurity frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, NIST, ISO 27001, COBIT)
  • Utilize a broad set of security tools and technologies to enhance protection and resilience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations, identify risks, and recommend effective solutions
  • Hold relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ or similar
  • Bring 5–10 years of experience in IT and cybersecurity, with several years in a dedicated security-focused role
  • Must hold or be willing to undergo UK Government security clearance (SC/DV) as required for the role
