To help us get there, we are looking for a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities

Your Role

As a Senior DevSecOps Engineer, you will:

  • Collaborate closely with development teams to prepare, secure, and execute application deployments.

  • Design and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines with integrated security testing, including SAST, DAST, SCA, secrets scanning, and container scanning.

  • Embed shift-left security practices into development and DevOps workflows.

  • Automate security controls across infrastructure as code (IaC), containers, and cloud environments.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across various services and infrastructure layers.

  • Contribute to incident response efforts and post-incident analysis when needed.

  • Work in agile environments alongside globally distributed teams.

  • Promote DevSecOps best practices and help shape secure development processes.

Qualifications

We are seeking a skilled and proactive engineer who brings:

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in DevOps or DevSecOps roles.

  • A strong track record in automating and optimizing development and release pipelines.

  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.

  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, containerization technologies, and Linux system administration.

  • Experience working with cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, or GCP.

  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and Helm.

  • A good understanding of microservices architecture.

  • Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring tools such as Elastic Stack, Zabbix, or Nagios.

  • Proficiency with version control systems such as Git or SVN.

  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English, both spoken and written.

  • Strong time management abilities and the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively in changing environments.

  • A solid grasp of the Shift Left philosophy and the ability to mentor teams on secure development practices.

  • Experience with agentless cloud-native security platforms like Wiz is considered a significant advantage.

Familiarity with the following tools and practices is highly valued:

  • SAST: SonarQube, CodeQL

  • DAST: OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite

  • SCA: Snyk, OWASP Dependency-Check

  • Secrets scanning: GitLeaks, truffleHog

  • Container scanning: Anchore, Grype, Trivy

Additional Information

  • This is a remote-first role, based in Mexico, but occasional travel may be required for client engagements or internal team meetings.
