We are currently looking for a Financial Controller to join our Group Finance team, with a focus on the MEA region. 


In this role, you will act as a subject matter expert and take ownership of several key financial topics. You will support day-to-day operations in financial controlling and work closely with MEA Head of Finance to implement and enhance reporting practices, control frameworks, and financial routines. 

 

This position is remote with occasional international travels to MEA region, so the ability to travel between Nortal offices globally is needed.

Responsibilities

  • Project lifecycle management in Nortal’s core systems 
  • Project controlling incl. revenue and cost tracking per project, engagement or account, building the bottom-up forecast with the respective business stakeholder 
  • Supporting month-end closing procedures 
  • Analyzing actual results, finding deviations and reasoning for such numbers 
  • Compiling templates for different financial data 
  • Analyzing financial reporting needs and describing new reports to be developed 
  • Participating in implementing new processes and tools 
  • Interacting with different stakeholders and supporting with various ad hoc reports 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 year of experience in financial controlling, preferably in the services sector and international company 
  • Higher education degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business 
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written.  
  • Excellent math, analytical skills; high aptitude for figures 
  • Excellent MS Excel skills. 
  • MS Dynamics and Power BI experience is preferable 
  • High level of responsibility, target-oriented 
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team 
  • Good communication skills 
  • Experience with high volume fixed price projects controlling will be considered as an advantage 
  • Ability to work in an agile business environment and capacity to think out of the box
