Overview

Join Nortal – a global digital transformation partner – as Finance Director for Germany. In this strategic leadership position, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our long-term growth. As a member of the senior leadership team, you will work closely with our CFO, German management board, and HQ to drive performance, guide financial strategy, and shape business decisions that support Nortal’s mission of building a better future. 

 

Responsibilities

Your Key Responsibilities 

  • Own full financial oversight in Germany: reporting, planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analytics. 
  • Collaborate with the CFO and German leadership to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with business goals. 
  • Lead the development of short- and long-term financial plans to support regional and group-wide growth. 
  • Design and implement performance dashboards and KPIs that drive data-informed decisions across teams. 
  • Oversee investment evaluations, customer business cases, and commercial models to support business expansion. 
  • Ensure financial compliance with local regulations and act as the primary point of contact with German tax authorities and external advisors. 
  • Drive revenue growth, profitability, and operational efficiency by aligning finance and business strategy. 
  • Support the implementation of new business models and contribute to MBR and board-level reporting. 
  • Partner with the regional finance team while being part of a matrixed finance organization 

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For 

  • Master’s or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. 
  • 7+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, ideally within growth-stage or consulting-driven environments. 
  • Proven expertise in financial planning & analysis (FP&A), performance management, KPI modeling, and cost control. 
  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and experience working with senior leadership or board-level stakeholders. 
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international, matrixed organization. 
  • Fluent in German and English (minimum C2 level), capable of managing local compliance and communicating with authorities. 
  • Willingness to travel within Germany (20–30%)
