To support our continued growth, we are looking for an Accountant to join our team. This role will take end-to-end responsibility for accounting and tax matters in Lithuania, as well as intercompany transactions across the Nortal Group. The position requires a high level of independence, ownership, and readiness to handle daily operational accounting tasks. 

As part of an international engineering organization, you will work closely with local stakeholders in Lithuania and the global finance team, ensuring full compliance with local regulations and Nortal Group accounting principles.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for accounting in accordance with IFRS, accounting law, and group policies
  • Handling accounting activities related to intercompany transactions within the Nortal Group, including frequent issuance of invoices based on existing system data
  • Responsibility for tax accounting, preparation of tax declarations, and ongoing contact with tax authorities (VAT and other taxes as required)
  • Support in the preparation of financial statements and periodic reports in line with local and group requirements
  • Execution of daily accounting operations, including:
  • AP and AR invoice processing
  • Payment processing
  • Settlement of liabilities and receivables
  • Fixed asset management
  • Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
  • Acting as a supporting role to the Chief Accountant during local financial audits and cooperation with external auditors
  • Close cooperation with the central finance team and participation in global finance initiatives
  • Preparation of reports and declarations for the Statistical Office and other authorities, in line with company needs 

Qualifications

Higher education in finance, accounting, or economics 

Minimum 3 years of experience in an independent accounting role (experience in an international environment is an advantage) 

Very good knowledge of tax regulations (VAT, CIT) and the Lithuanian Accounting Act 

Practical knowledge of the full accounting cycle 

High attention to detail, accuracy, and a strong analytical mindset 

Very good command of English, enabling fluent communication in an international environment 

Proactive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and a positive, solution-oriented mindset 

Openness to new technologies and willingness to optimize and improve accounting processes 

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations is an advantage

Salary

 The salary range for this role is 2.700 - 2.900 Gross Euros.
