We are looking for a Cyber Security Engineer to support the design, implementation, and validation of secure technical solutions across multiple research and development projects. As part of engineering teams, you will focus on hands-on security engineering, ensuring systems are secure‑by‑design, resilient, and aligned with architectural and regulatory requirements.

 

Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain security controls across systems and platforms
  • Support secure system design in collaboration with architects and engineers
  • Perform security testing, hardening, and validation activities
  • Contribute to threat modelling, risk analysis, and mitigation measures
  • Support secure system integration and deployment
  • Participate in technical reviews, testing activities, and project demonstrations

Methods & Approaches

  • Secure software and system development practices
  • Security testing and validation methodologies
  • DevSecOps practices in R&D environments
  • Use of security tools for monitoring, testing, and analysis

Deliverables

  • Implemented security mechanisms and configurations
  • Security test results and validation reports
  • Technical documentation and configuration guidelines
  • Inputs to project deliverables and demonstrations

Qualifications

  • Background in cyber security or secure systems engineering
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in cyber security, computer science, or a related field
  • Experience with operating systems, networks, and virtualized or cloud environments
  • Knowledge of network security, identity and access management, and data protection
  • Hands‑on, problem‑solving mindset
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Clear technical communication and documentation skills
  • Willingness to complete a government security clearance process
  • Experience in R&D or multi‑partner projects is an advantage
