AI-Driven Software Engineer (Agentic Development)

At Nortal’s Emerging studio, we combine modern cloud engineering with agentic AI-driven development practices such as Spec-Driven Development and Agentic Swarm Coding. The goal is simple: build better software, faster—and rethink how software teams operate.

We’re now looking for an AI-Driven Software Engineer to join us on this journey. If you enjoy hands-on development, experimenting with new tools and methods, and working at the edge of what’s possible with AI in software engineering, this role is for you.

What you'll do:

• Design and build cloud-native applications, APIs, and integrations for leading Finnish industry and energy companies
• Apply AI-driven development practices (e.g. Spec-Driven Development, Agentic Swarm Coding) in real client projects
• Work hands-on with modern AI coding tools (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and emerging agentic tooling)
• Contribute to how we redefine software development ways of working—not just follow existing ones
• Build and improve DevOps pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions
• Collaborate closely with clients and cross-functional teams, from design to production

What will help you to succeed:

• Solid experience in building cloud-native applications, APIs, and integrations
• Strong hands-on programming skills (ideally with .NET / C#)
• Experience with Azure (e.g. App Service, Functions, Container Apps, Service Bus, Event Grid, CI/CD)
• Practical understanding of how AI can improve software development workflows (you’ve experimented, not just read about it)
• Curiosity and willingness to adopt new development paradigms
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and Finnish

Nice to have:

• Experience with front-end technologies (e.g. React)
• Experience with data platforms or real-time systems
