Lead Test Engineer

To reach our ambitious goals, we are looking for Lead Test Engineer.   

This role follows a hybrid work model based at Nortal’s Jordan office.

• Build team capacity and individual testing skills providing scalable structure  
• Lead the team in setup and compliance with quality assurance standards
• Monitor and improve quality assurance processes and procedures in line with latest testing technologies 
• Facilitate communication within different technical teams within engineering 
• Participate in presales initiatives and project estimations for testing activities 
• Apply business-driven, risk-based, and exploratory test methodologies 
• Define most advantageous project-based methods and tools
• Support and set up manual or automated testing processes and related testing tools
• Set up test strategy, test plans and testing process on the projects 
• Good time management and ability to prioritize tasks among multiple or changing priorities 
• Prefer to work on agile software development projects with globally distributed teams 

• Good communication skills (spoken and written) with fluent English as essential 
• Have at least 5 years of QA experience and at least 2 years in leading teams 
• Own leadership skills necessary to build, manage and scale QA team to meet workload and efficiency  
• Extensive knowledge in testing different types of applications: backend, frontend, web, mobile
• Proficient in automation testing (e.g., Selenium Web driver and Java)
• Hands on experience with API testing using Postman or SoapUI 
• Performance, regression and stress testing plans definition and successful implementation
• Experience with different cloud providers (AWS, Azure or GCP) 
• ISTQB certification is a plus
