Overview

Nortal is looking for a high-potential Product Designer to join our MEA team, based in Oman.

This is not a graphic design role. It is an opportunity to work on real service transformation, designing systems that improve how citizens and businesses interact with government and digital services.

You will work closely with senior design leaders and gain hands-on experience on high-impact programmes across the region. We do not expect you to know everything on day one, but we expect you to learn quickly, think logically, and grow into the role.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Product Owners to understand user needs, pain points, and service journeys
  • Design user flows, wireframes, and prototypes in Figma that are clear and logical
  • Support workshops and collaborative sessions using FigJam or Miro
  • Work closely with developers to ensure designs are practical and buildable
  • Help communicate design decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Qualifications

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in UX or Product Design
  • Strong fundamentals in Figma for crafting UI
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite for visual assets
  • Fluent in Arabic and English, both written and spoken
  • Ability to think in systems and user flows, not just static screens
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Awareness of Omani or wider MEA cultural context

Your Portfolio (What We Look For)

We are not looking for a large number of projects. We care about how you think.

Please include 1 or 2 case studies that clearly show:

  • The problem you were solving
  • Your approach, including flows, sketches, or wireframes
  • The final outcome, such as a prototype or UI

If you do not have commercial work, a strong personal project is acceptable.

What Makes This Role Different

  • Direct mentorship from experienced design leaders
  • Opportunity to work on national-level transformation programmes
  • Fast-track growth into a mid-weight Product Designer role
  • Real responsibility early, with support to develop your skills
