Help us grow our presence in the Finnish defense sector
As we expand our footprint in the Finnish defense market, we’re looking to appoint a Principal Consultant who understands the Defence sector from the inside. You’ll use your knowledge of how defense works to decide where we can genuinely drive value, shape what we offer, and build the relationships that turn early conversations into cyber and digital work for the Ministry of Defence, the Finnish Defence Forces, and the prime contractors who support them.
This is a hands-on senior role. You won’t manage a team. You’ll be the person the defense community connects with Nortal, and your judgment will shape how we grow.
You will play a key role in establishing and gradually expanding Nortal’s presence within the Finnish defence market:
Shape our market entry: decide which programs, customers, and partners matter most, and why.
Build relationships across the MOD, the services, and prime contractors, including subcontracting routes into larger programs.
Work with our cyber and digital experts to turn customer needs into clear, credible proposals.
Follow opportunities from first conversation to signed contract, alongside our bid and delivery teams.
Represent Nortal at defense events and industry forums, and spot related opportunities in the wider Finnish public sector.
Experience in the Finnish Defence Forces or an organization closely tied to the defense sector.
Credibility in the defense community and the ability to build trusted relationships across the MOD, the services, primes, or industry bodies.
A working understanding of defense programs, procurement, and how primes and subcontractors work together.
Strong communication skills and the ability to earn trust with senior stakeholders.
Experience in IT services, cyber, or digital programs.
Experience originating or winning work, whether as a business developer, program lead, or capability owner.
Active involvement in defense industry organizations.
Why Nortal
Base salary range: 7000-8000€ / month (full-time). Final compensation will depend on factors such as relevant experience, role seniority, and skill set.
